In January, Maine Historical Society debuted a new series of “Intro to MHS” programming that highlights some of the services and resources available here at the society on a regular basis.
Interest in today’s program, a workshop on how to use the Brown Library catalog, underscores the popularity of these new offerings. Facilitated by Administrative and Research Librarian Jamie Kingman Rice, the workshop drew a nearly full house of 20 attendees who learned all the ins and outs of searching MHS collections on Minerva. If you missed it, don’t worry. The next session is Wednesday, April 3.
Other programs in the series include a library tour, a Maine Memory Network demonstration, and a Museums Collections: Accessions and PastPerfect Online workshop. Each of the programs runs on a consistent schedule throughout the year — they are offered at least six times annually, and take place over the noon hour. And best of all, they are free!
