BREAKING NEWS: Longfellow Manuscript Discovered!

During a routine tour of the Wadsworth-Longfellow House yesterday, a handwritten paper attributed to the famous poet was discovered by a tour participant. The incredible finds seems to be a heavily-edited draft of a previously unknown poem called “Morning on Congress Street,” the final two lines of which are: “The happiest haunt of my old, old heart,/ That boy’s humble home on Congress.” Read on below the image for more of the fascinating details and what this means for Longfellow scholars everywhere…
