March e-Connection: In with a Roar!

Onawa Rail Station, ca. 1920

Given this winter, March would have had to muster all her powers to enter like a lamb. Instead, a storm the first week brought two feet of snow to some parts of northern New England and heavy rain and snow to Maine.

So it’s fitting that this month’s e-Connection roars in with two features on railroads–a Maine Memory Network exhibit on the Bangor and Aroostook line, and a tragic, but little known, disaster story from 1919 in the “Bill’s Mythbusters” section.

But we’ve got plenty of gentle and inviting content, too–programs related to the Longfellow Garden and historic landscape design, a story on the “smart meters” from our CMP Collection, results from our recent e-Connection survey, and all the regular features.

So while you’re waiting for Spring to spring, click on through and enjoy all that e-Connection has to offer!
